Benefits
1. Seamless waterproof membrane that easily conforms to various shapes, without cutting and fitting (as is necessary with sheet products).
2. Added corrosion inhibitors to stop rust and preserve your metal structures for many years.
3. Superior adhesion to most substrates.
4. Can be applied down to 5C/40F.
5. Resistant to salts, acids, and various chemicals.
6. Water based, no solvents, and VOC free.
7. Excellent elongation, recovery, and flexibility for crack bridging and to withstand thermal cycling.
8. No open flame or kettle required.
9. Expensive application equipment is not critical.
coverage
-
Flat/Ponding Surface
Apply a minimum final thickness of 1 gallon per 17.3 sq ft (1.6 sq/m). It should require around 4-5 heavy coats to achieve a 60 mil (1.5mm) (DFT) membrane.
-
Vertical Surfaces
Apply a minimum final thickness of 1 gallon per 34.6 sq ft (3.2 sq/m). It should require around 3-4 heavy coats to achieve a 30 mil (0.76mm) (DFT) membrane.
-
Flat/Ponding Surfaces
Apply a minimum final thickness of 1 gallon per 15.3 sq ft (1.4 sq/m). It should require around 4-5 heavy coats to achieve a 60 mil (1.5mm) (DFT) membrane.
-
Vertical Surfaces
Apply a minimum final thickness of 1 gallon per 30.6 sq ft (2.8 sq/m). It should require around 3-4 heavy coats to achieve a 30 mil (0.76mm) (DFT) membrane.
-
Flat/Ponding Surfaces
Apply a minimum final thickness of 1 gallon per 12.5 sq ft (1.1 sq/m). It should require around 4-5 heavy coats to achieve a 60 mil (1.5mm) (DFT) membrane.
-
Vertical Surfaces
Apply a minimum final thickness of 1 gallon per 25 sq ft (2.3 sq/m). It should require around 3-4 heavy coats to achieve a 30 mil (0.76mm) (DFT) membrane.
-
FLAT/PONDING Surfaces
Apply a minimum final thickness of 1 gallon per 17.25 sq ft (1.6 sq/m). It should require around 4-5 heavy coats to achieve a 40 mil (1.0mm) (DFT) membrane.
-
Vertical Surfaces
Apply a minimum final thickness of 1 gallon per 34.5 sq ft (3.2 sq/m). It should require around 3-4 heavy coats to achieve a 20 mil (0.5mm) (DFT) membrane.
-
Flat Surfaces
Apply a minimum final thickness of 1 gallon per 200 sq ft (18.6 sq/m) per coat. It should require around 1-2 coats.
-
Vertical Surfaces
Apply a minimum final thickness of 1 gallon per 200 sq ft (18.6 sq/m) per coat. It should require around 1-2 coats.

Case Studies

A small community Ice Arena's metal roof has leaked for years and years. The roof structure was first cleaned of any contamination and loose rust. Fasteners were tightened and/or replaced, then sealed with a brush application of Liquid Rubber MetalSafe A-205. Liquid Rubber Seam Tape was then used to bridged joints, gaps, seams, skylights, and protrusions. 3 coats of Liquid Rubber MetalSafe A-205 were then applied to achieve a final dry film thickness of 30 mil.

The metal barn roof developed leaks over time from the expansion and contraction of the underlying metal surface and chemical attack. The metal surface was power-washed and Liquid Rubber Seam Tape was applied to all the seams then coated with a brush using Liquid Rubber MetalSafe A-205. Any fasteners and exposed bolts were also covered with Liquid Rubber MetalSafe A-205. The Liquid Rubber MetalSafe A-205 membrane was applied using a heavy-duty paint sprayer at approximately 50 ft2 /gal per coat.

A large nickel mine in Northern Ontario required waterproofing and corrosion protection for a facility roof that was deteriorating due to the hard mining environment. Liquid Rubber MetalSafe™ InstaSet B-300 was chosen as the best solution and prior to applying the spray product, the large roof was being replaced every 6 years. An inspection in 2011 showed the roof in great condition without need for replacement.
